I read an FAZ article about software repair and bugs in Windows Vista. Following the link, I found a website claiming "automated debugging and software evolution at your fingertips".
First, iIttle bit sceptic, but I installed the Eclipse-plugin and did some tests. It was amazing how many bugs were precisely located. Give it a try if you are a programmer (it's free).
Just imageine how many bugs could be found and eliminated in todays software. Well, debugging will not die out just because of that software, but it could be much more efficient.
Here is the link to the free Eclipse-plugin.
